OBJECTIVES

The overall conference goals are:
  • Review current information on the management of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, and stress ulcer prophylaxis.
  • Examine new drugs that became available in 2011 including newer anticonvulsant drugs and their place in therapy
  • Discuss difficulties in delivering care to pediatric patients
  • Provide an overview of the ADA treatment algorithm

SPEAKERS

Atiya Khan: Dr. Khan is a neurologist with Fort Wayne Neurology specializing in epilepsy and sleep medicine.

Dusty Lin: Dr. Lin is a critical care clinical pharmacy specialist at Lutheran Health Network and Assistant Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice with Manchester College of Pharmacy

Dave Schlatter: Dr. Schlatter is the Senior Regional Medical Liaison for Sanofi Diabetes.

Pharmacy Residents: Stacy Waterman, PharmD, Chris Westrick, PharmD, and Pavel Prusakov, PharmD are pharmacy practice residents at Parkview Hospital. Gloria Huynh, PharmD and Ashley Jacobs, PharmD are pharmacy practice residents at Lutheran Health Network.

Jackie Clouse and Katrina Gilbert: Dr. Clouse and Dr. Gilbert are the pharmacy Clinical Coordinators at Lutheran Health Network

Tim Johnston: Dr. Johnston is a clinical pharmacist at Parkview Hospital specializing in adult medicine and neurology at Parkview Hospital. He is also a certified brain injury specialist.

Ally Gaylor: Dr. Gaylor is the pediatric clinical pharmacist at Parkview Hospital. She has been practicing in pediatric pharmacy for over 10 years.
